Breeding Operations

I can’t believe it’s June! Those hot temperatures are right around the corner. We held our first event as a newly established group. The Ag Fair was a success! A huge thank you to everyone that came out to support it. Visit our website to see who we are, what we do and where we’ll be next! www.madisoncountycattlewomen.com

Fencing, branding, farming, irrigating… it’s all still going on, county-wide!

A successful ranch operation is built around a disciplined breeding operation. Ranchers are turning bulls out and planning for next year. Artificial Insemination of heifers and cows is also extremely common and is underway. Beef cattle genetics play a crucial role in a rancher’s herd. Good Bulls + Good Cows = a much better chance at having a great calf to wean in the fall.

Lately we have been enjoying a lot of steak and eggs. I typically use a sirloin steak. I season it and cook to desired temperature. Slice thin and serve with bread and your style of eggs. So delicious for ANY meal.
