Tri Tip Steak

2.5lb tri-tip

Dry rub

Olive oil

Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Cover steak with dry rub. You can use any dry rub recipe that fits your taste buds. I, unfortunately, don’t seem to measure but I typically use garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper and a sprinkle of brown sugar. Heat a cast iron pan, drizzle with olive oil and sear each side of the steak. Pop it into the oven for approx. 11-12min per pound of meat or 130-140 degrees is medium rare. This would be excellent on the grill!
