Biscuits

You will never buy biscuit dough again! These are so versatile. Soup? Breakfast? Strawberry Shortcake?

2 cups flour

1 tbsp sugar

1 tsp salt

1 tbsp baking powder

1 stick of butter

½ c to ¾ c milk

Preheat oven to 450. Melt some butter in cast iron skillet.

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a well in the middle & grate one stick of butter. Mix with your hands or a pastry blender. Add milk. It can vary in amount but start with ½ c and go up. It will be pretty sticky when fully combined. Flour your counter, roll out dough to about ¾” thick. Cut biscuits. Dunk in melted butter and flip butter side up. Bake until they have golden brown tops.
